There is a beautiful story behind The Heart of Worship of Matt Redman. The song was composed after realizing the purpose of our time of worship.

Today, our churches pursued to give the most beautiful music that we can give during worship service. But it has became more like a performance every Sunday for our worship teams.

This is not what God wants. God wants real worshipers whose heart and mind are only focused to Him worshiping Him in Spirit and in truth. While making good music is good to pursue, nonetheless, worshiping God in spirit and in truth is more important.

And this is what Heart of Worship is all about.
